Kameoka Cup is the open BikeTrial competition created in Japan by Mr. Hiroshi Hirano, BIU President. KC arrived to 53° edition and still to be a success. Many people meet BikeTrial with this competition formula and we hope will be possible share this kind of competition also in many other Countries.
Here the report by Mr. Hiro.
Dear Biketrial friends,
How are you?
I am going to send you the results of Kameoka cup 53. I have held it on 30 June in Kyoto.
It was a heavy rain day as the weather report said, but 54 participants took part including 3 people from Indonesia (1 yo girl, 2 yo boy and their mother) and all riders could finished the competition with no problem.
You can check the photos (a lot) on facebook “Biketrial KC”.
3 new records were made this time in KC53 as follows.
Record 1:
The oldest rider took part in KC
Name/area/record
Yoshio Sakamoto/Okayama/67 years old 6 month 11 days
Record 2:
Over 10 riders of female riders in KC
43 times in 53 events
Record 3:
Rider most took part in KC (great repeater)
Name/area/record
Shinji Arakawa/Kyoto/39 times took part in KC
About the record 3,
No any event got over 10 female in any cycle Trial event in Japan since beginning (from 1984 till now) except KC.
So it is very good that KC has got 43 times in this record.
How about this record in your country?
Let me know if there is better record.
The heavy rain stopped just before the awarding ceremony. So the ceremony was done almost perfect in that situation however.
The next KC (KC54) will be held on 20 Octover.
Sincerely yours,
Hiro
