BikeTrial in Singapore continues its activity with a new Delegate to whom we give our official welcome, welcome Steven, thank you Walton, let's get to know the new delegate better!
Hi Giuliano,
We have not formerly been introduced. I am Steven Cheah from BikeTrial Singapore, I am the current President, took over from Walton since the start of 2025 officially.
A little bit about me, Ive been riding trials actively since 1999/2000. Ive represented Singapore at the BIU Asia-Pacific Championships and BIU World Rounds in my younger competitive days; having had to opportunity to ride in Brezova, Czech, La Tour De Scay, France and also Itadori, Japan many times.
Status of BikeTrails in Singapore:
- The interest in the sport here has decreased over the past 10 years (i think globally as well); however there is still a group of us who are active riders.
- in 2025 we organised 4 competition rounds in our “Trial Blitz Series” with around 10-12 participants on average. Age ranges from 8yo to 44yo; we just completed our final round over the weekend to close off the year.
- Our current focus for this 2 years is to rebuild the local community and BikeTrial scene back again and to get on board newer/younger riders.
- Our current competitions are more relaxed in nature and less serious as our focus is community and engaging riders.
- As of this year, Ive created a simple WhatsApp group with several other BikeTrial countries for us to keep in touch and share of any local trials related matters; in this group are:

It is nice to be connected to you and I look forward to exploring how we can grow this sport; hopefully in time we will be able to send riders to the World Rounds like how we used to! I am also available by WhatsApp should you like to chat anytime!
